The Berry Edit Lands in Sorrento on the Terrace of Bellavista Cocktail Bar

On June 22, Bellavista Cocktail Bar at Grand Hotel La Favorita will host The Berry Edit, the event created by Coqtail – for fine drinkers and Cordusio. The evening explores the growing role of hotel cocktail bars through a dedicated drink list, food pairings and the presentation of issue nine of the magazine, titled Labels.

The terrace of Grand Hotel La Favorita overlooks the Gulf of Naples from above Sorrento. Every evening, Bellavista Cocktail Bar welcomes both hotel guests and local visitors in a space that has become increasingly central to the property’s offering in recent years. On June 22, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, it will further reinforce that position by hosting a new edition of The Berry Edit, the pool party organized by Coqtail – for fine drinkers together with Cordusio Red Berry Aperitivo.

The event arrives at a time when hotel cocktail bars are taking on a growing role within the hospitality industry. As properties seek distinctive beverage programs capable of attracting local clientele as well as guests, more and more hotels are turning to professionals with backgrounds in independent cocktail bars.

Among them are Valerio Izzo and Anna Candela, who bring to La Favorita the experience gained at Shub, the cocktail bar that has helped reshape Sorrento’s contemporary drinks scene. Their work introduces to Bellavista Cocktail Bar a perspective developed within the world of independent venues, where cocktail programs, hospitality and attention to detail are constantly measured against the expectations of an international audience. The Berry Edit provides an additional opportunity to showcase Bellavista Cocktail Bar through its cocktail offering.

Cordusio at the heart of the drink list

The star of the evening is Cordusio Red Berry Aperitivo. Its aromatic profile, built around red berries, runs throughout the entire menu created for the occasion.

The drink list opens with Cordusio Fizz, made with Cordusio Red Berry Aperitivo, gin, cherry, lemon and lemon-leaf soda, paired with a reimagined olive featuring beef and olive pâté.

Next comes Scarlet Pulse, prepared with Cordusio Red Berry Aperitivo, paprika-infused vodka, orange dry curaçao, strawberry and lemon through a milk-washing technique. It is served alongside a Parmigiano Reggiano cannolo filled with Caesar salad.

Riviera Rouge offers a softer, fresher drinking experience thanks to the use of raspberry tea, sugar, strawberry jam and, of course, Cordusio Red Berry Aperitivo. It is paired with a double-cooked pizzetta, first fried and then baked, topped with tomato concentrate and mozzarella cream.

The experience concludes with a dessert dedicated to strawberry, kefir and Cordusio Red Berry Aperitivo. A low-ABV cocktail created with Red Berry Aperitivo and ginger soda will also be available throughout the evening.

A new stop for Labels

As with every Coqtail – for fine drinkers event, The Berry Edit will also feature the presentation of the magazine, this time issue Labels. The June 22 gathering adds another chapter to the ongoing exploration of contemporary cocktail culture, bringing to Sorrento a format that combines publishing, hospitality and drinking culture. All of this unfolds against the backdrop of the Bellavista Cocktail Bar terrace and one of the views that has made the Amalfi and Sorrento Coast one of the Mediterranean’s most recognizable destinations.
