Good ideas deserve room to grow. That is precisely what Barcelona Hotel Bar Week has done. Returning for its second edition from 21 to 27 September, the world’s first festival dedicated entirely to hotel bars once again turns the Catalan capital into a showcase for contemporary cocktail culture, bringing together acclaimed bartenders, luxury hotels and guests through a week of experiences designed to explore the evolving relationship between hospitality and mixology.
A Citywide Programme of Guest Shifts, Education and Innovation
Barcelona Hotel Bar Week was created to strengthen the connection between hotel bars, the professionals behind them and the guests who increasingly see these spaces as destinations in their own right. The citywide format encourages visitors to explore participating hotels throughout the week. Each venue will present an exclusive menu created specifically for the festival, featuring at least one signature cocktail alongside a low-ABV or alcohol-free option, all priced at €12.
Alongside the drinks programme, every hotel will host its own calendar of tastings, workshops, panel discussions, educational sessions and international guest shifts, offering a snapshot of the ideas and trends currently shaping the industry.
Cocktails, Cuisine and Wellness
One of the festival’s returning highlights is Mix & Eat, a programme exploring the dialogue between cocktails and gastronomy through specially created menus, unexpected pairings and dishes that incorporate spirits as part of the cooking process.
Wellness also plays a larger role in this year’s edition. Several participating hotels will host outdoor activities, yoga sessions, meditation classes and cultural events, reflecting the broader evolution of luxury hospitality and changing guest expectations.
How to Join Barcelona Hotel Bar Week 2026
Barcelona Hotel Bar Week is open to the public. Access is available by purchasing the official festival pass through the event’s website or social media channels. The pass also includes entry to the closing party.
Returning this year is the Bar Passport, an informal passport that visitors can have stamped at participating venues. Collecting stamps unlocks exclusive benefits while allowing guests to enter prize draws organised throughout the festival.
