On Tuesday, November 3, and Wednesday, November 4, 2026, Athens will become the epicenter of the global cocktail scene as Athens Bar Show 2026 returns for its 16th edition. This year, the event is placing a particular spotlight on agave spirits, alongside a host of new initiatives. Running alongside the trade show is Athens Bar Week, which will take over the Greek capital from November 1 to 5 with a packed calendar of events, guest shifts, and pop-ups.
Agave, Tomas Estes, and the Themed Areas
Athens Bar Show 2026 is built around three pillars: the trade exhibition, education, and networking. The exhibition forms the backbone of the event, taking place across the expansive grounds of Technopolis in Athens’ Gazi district. In 2025, it welcomed 130 exhibitors and more than 17,000 visitors from the global bar and hospitality industry.
The 2026 edition will feature three dedicated areas. The first will showcase independent brands and new product launches, while the second will focus on technology and innovative solutions designed to improve hospitality operations.
The third is the Tomas Estes’ Agave Embassy, a space named in honor of the man who played a pivotal role in introducing tequila to audiences around the world. Extending its focus beyond tequila to the broader world of agave spirits, the Embassy will host presentations, seminars, tastings, and an extensive lineup of exhibitors.
Special Guest: Schumann’s Bar
Among the exhibition stands, visitors will find an exclusive pop-up by Schumann’s Bar from Munich. Founded in 1982 by legendary bartender Charles Schumann, the establishment remains one of the most influential names in international cocktail culture.
Access will be strictly by invitation, making it one of the show’s most coveted experiences for visitors and exhibitors alike. Meanwhile, on November 3, Stage E will host the final of an international mixology competition dedicated to one of Greece’s most iconic spirits.
Seminars, Masterclasses, and International Guests
Education and networking are the other two cornerstones of Athens Bar Show. The program will feature seminars, masterclasses, presentations, and panel discussions bringing together hospitality professionals from Greece and around the world.
The full speaker lineup has yet to be announced, but the scale of the event is already clear. The 2025 edition featured 124 speakers and industry experts, and organizers are expecting a similarly ambitious program this year.
Athens Bar Week: Five Days of Celebrations
If Athens Bar Show represents the industry’s more formal side, Athens Bar Week is where the celebration takes over.
Running from Sunday, November 1, through Thursday, November 5, the festival will spread across bars and venues throughout Athens, bringing together international bartenders, industry professionals, and cocktail enthusiasts for five days of guest shifts, special events, and plenty of exceptional drinks.
Coqtail – for fine drinkers: The Events
Coqtail – for fine drinkers will serve as media partner for a series of events organized in collaboration with One Burger, featuring some of the world’s most celebrated cocktail bars.
The program kicks off on November 2 at 6 PM with Jonathan Gabbay from Argo, Hong Kong, followed by a takeover by Bar Leone from 9 PM until sold out. On November 3, London‘s Three Sheets will take over the bar from 5 PM to 8 PM, before handing over to the team from New York‘s Sip & Guzzle at 9 PM. The series concludes on November 4 with Moebius, taking over from 9 PM until sold out.
Everything You Need to Know About Athens Bar Show
For those heading to Athens, there are a few practical details worth keeping in mind. First, the organizers have partnered with an integrated mobility platform to provide transportation throughout the event, reinforcing the important message: Don’t drink and drive.
Another highlight already confirmed is the Athens Bar Show Welcome Night, taking place on November 2 at STOA Culture. The official opening celebration will feature 16 pop-ups accompanied by a live, vinyl-only soundtrack.
