Coqtail – for fine drinkers Brings Labels to Shakerato in Amsterdam

For the first time, Coqtail – for fine drinkers is hosting an event in Amsterdam. On July 1, Shakerato, the newest venue from the team behind Handshake Speakeasy, will host the launch of Labels, the ninth issue of the international magazine dedicated to beverage, hospitality, and lifestyle, bringing together the global bar community.

A First Gathering in Amsterdam for the International Bar Community

Team Shakerato

Amsterdam joins Coqtail – for fine drinkers‘ international calendar of events for the very first time. The timing coincides with a week in which the Dutch capital welcomes hospitality professionals from around the world for the inaugural edition of The Europe’s 50 Best Bars, creating the ideal setting for new conversations, meaningful connections, and the exchange of ideas within an industry that has become increasingly global.

On July 1, following the ceremony’s official closing party, Coqtail – for fine drinkers will present Labels, the ninth issue of its magazine exploring the worlds of beverage and hospitality through a lifestyle lens. The event is designed to bring together bartenders, journalists, brand representatives, and hospitality professionals from across the industry.

Shakerato: Where Italian Tradition Meets an International Perspective

Drink Shakerato Amsterdam

For its Amsterdam debut, Coqtail has chosen Shakerato, one of the city’s newest openings. Located inside the NH Amsterdam Leidseplein, the venue is the latest project from the partners behind Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico City, blending diverse influences while maintaining a distinct identity.

Even its name reflects that philosophy. The Shakerato — an famous Italian coffee drink — becomes the starting point for a concept that looks toward Europe while embracing the future of the international bar scene. Cocktails built around technical precision and drinkability are paired with a culinary offering developed alongside Dorus Floris, chef and co-owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant Showw. A combination that naturally echoes the theme of Labels, an issue exploring the defining characteristics that make people, products, places, and hospitality concepts instantly recognizable.

An Afternoon Dedicated to the Community

From 4:30 to 6:00 pm, Shakerato will host the Coqtail Bitterballen & Oysters Party, bringing together one of the Netherlands’ best-known aperitivo classics with oysters, long associated with convivial celebrations. A bespoke cocktail menu will accompany the presentation of Labels, featuring three serves created in collaboration with Strucchi and Polot 1882.

Shakerato Bianco highlights Strucchi Bitter Bianco alongside Polot 1882 Tangerine Cordial. Spumoni delivers a bright citrus profile by combining Strucchi Bitter Rosso, Polot 1882 Grapefruit Cordial and tonic water. Tea Champagne explores the no-alcohol category with a blend of Opificium LDN by Polot 1882, Earl Grey cold brew, citrus and sparkling components that bring both the drink and the atmosphere to life.
