For five days, an Amaro Lucano tram will make its way through Milan as the city welcomes The 50 Bars 2026 celebrations. On board, guests will have the chance to discover and taste the brand’s products while taking in some of the city’s best-known landmarks. On October 7, a special ride created with Coqtail – for fine drinkers will bring together cocktails from Gucci Giardino in Florence and 1930 in Milan, paired with bites by Guido Paternollo, executive chef of Pellico 3 at Park Hyatt Milano. An afternoon dedicated to cocktails, food and the city itself.
All Aboard the Amaro Lucano Tram
The Castello Sforzesco appears through the window before the tram moves on, heading toward Cadorna and back again. From October 6 to 10, starting at 4 p.m. each day, Amaro Lucano will take to the streets of Milan with a journey dedicated to the Pisticci-born brand and its portfolio.
Milan is hosting The 50 Bars for the first time, and Lucano, the Official Amaro Partner of the 2026 edition, has chosen one of the city’s most familiar forms of transport to meet the guests arriving for the week. The tram becomes a destination in its own right: guests step aboard, discover Lucano’s products and taste them as Milan passes by outside.
The five-day program also includes two rides created with Coqtail – for fine drinkers, bringing two bar teams and a chef aboard the historic tram.
October 7: Gucci Giardino, 1930 and Pellico 3 Come Aboard
The Coqtail – for fine drinkers experience is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, across two sessions, from 1 to 2:15 p.m. and 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. As on the other four days, the tram will depart from Piazza Castello 2, at the corner of Via Luca Beltrami.
The route takes in the Castello Sforzesco, La Scala, Monumentale, Arco della Pace and Cadorna. Behind the bar will be the teams from Gucci Giardino in Florence and 1930 in Milan. Joining them is Guido Paternollo, executive chef of Pellico 3 at Park Hyatt Milano, who will create the food pairings. The ride brings together three different approaches to flavor, unfolding one cocktail and bite at a time.
Three Cocktails from Gucci Giardino
The Florence bar will bring three drinks aboard: two alcoholic cocktails and one zero-proof serve.
The Gaucho Lucano combines Amaro Lucano with vanilla, sage, aloe vera, chocolate bitters and lemon, topped with ginger beer and finished with a candy garnish. Paternollo pairs it with a pie tee filled with cocktail sauce, ginger, yuzu ponzu and purple prawns.
For Fiero, Amaro Lucano meets Mancino Vermouth di Torino Rosso Amaranto, allspice, elderflower, rosemary, orange and lemon. Rosemary returns as a garnish and provides a link to the accompanying bite: a bitter-orange tartlet with rosemary-scented Jerusalem artichoke, echoing the cocktail’s citrus and herbal notes.
The zero-proof What If is built around Lucano Zero, thyme and lemon, with thyme also used as the garnish. It is paired with a corn tartlet filled with roasted corn, BBQ pepper, finger lime and thyme.
Three Cocktails from 1930
Coffee provides the defining note of Espresso Highball, one of the drinks created by Milan’s 1930. Amaro Lucano is combined with Cognac, Colombian coffee and an Irish beer and vanilla syrup, finished with lime zest. Paternollo pairs it with a pie tee filled with crème fraîche, black lemon and vanilla.
Benvenuti al Sud brings together Amaro Lucano, Mancino Vermouth di Torino Secco, prickly pear distillate, smoked mango, parsley, habanero and beer, finished with lemon zest. Paternollo serves it with a corn tartlet filled with roasted corn, BBQ pepper and yuzu ponzu, playing with the drink’s smoky character and bright citrus notes.
The third serve, The Uncle Sam, is alcohol-free, combining Lucano Zero with a balsamic vinegar reduction and tonic water, finished with fresh raspberry. Its pairing is a Parmigiano Reggiano fusette with chervil and a raspberry and balsamic vinegar gel, translating the same flavors into a savory bite.
Five Days Aboard the Lucano Tram
The Coqtail – for fine drinkers ride is one of several invitation-only events planned as part of the Lucano project. From October 6 to 10, the branded tram will continue its journey through Milan, offering further opportunities to step aboard, discover the brand and taste its products throughout The 50 Bars week.
