Coqtail – for fine drinkers opens 2026 at The Carlton Bar in Milan with Salvatore Calabrese

The new year begins with an invitation-only event bringing together the bar industry and drink enthusiasts. On Sunday, 11 January, Coqtail – for fine drinkers chooses The Carlton Bar as the setting to reunite its community and raise a glass to the start of 2026: inside a hotel newly opened by Rocco Forte Hotels, around a counter curated by Maestro Salvatore Calabrese.

What better way to start 2026 than among friends and with a toast? The 11 January gathering marks the first major event of the year by Coqtail – for fine drinkers and takes place at The Carlton Bar, inside the new The Carlton by Rocco Forte. A venue linking Via Senato and Via della Spiga, returning to the city a space designed to pause and enjoy a well-crafted drink.

The evening begins at the bar at 6:30 pm and coincides with the release of Issue 7 of Coqtail – for fine drinkers, the magazine edition dedicated to the theme of NO as a conscious choice and a clear stance in bar work. An approach that finds resonance at The Carlton Bar, curated by Salvatore Calabrese, a leading figure shaping the venue’s identity, with a drinks list created for the occasion by Luca Ardito, the hotel’s Director of Bars.

Five cocktails realized with Coqtail’s brand partners will be available to guests during the event. Senato Spritz, combining Altamura Distilleries Vodka, citrus sherbet, spices, Of Dorange Bonollo 1908, Franciacorta and Tassoni La Biologica Soda. Vespa Bianca, built around Tassoni Gin Superfine al Cedro, Altamura Distilleries Vodka and Acqua Bianca. Negroni Svegliato, a twist on classic with Tassoni Gin Superfine al Cedro, Bitter del Lago Tassoni, Mancino Vermouth Bianco and coffee notes. The Maestro’s signature Breakfast Martini, blending Tassoni Gin Superfine al Cedro, Of Dorange Bonollo 1908, lemon and bitter orange marmalade. And finally Parentesi, closing the liquid sequence with a non-alcoholic option based on liquorice, blackberries and Cedrata Tassoni Zero.

Five cocktails for one evening, setting the tone for a stylish start to the year, as The Carlton Bar toasts together with Coqtail and its entire gathered community.
