A must-visit in the city for anyone who appreciates hotel bars, Atrium Bar joins the list of prestigious venues that have hosted the magazine’s presentations in recent years, including Locale Firenze in 2024 and Gucci Giardino in 2025.

An elegant lounge for a drink and a light bite, the space immediately draws attention to three defining elements. The first is the burlwood bar counter, the true focal point of the room. Then come the green velvet sofas and armchairs arranged around small tables that form intimate corners for conversation. Finally, there is the light that shapes the atmosphere: by day it filters through the large skylight, while in the evening it descends from the central chandelier.

Completing the experience is Edoardo Sandri, assistant F&B manager, who signs a drink list inspired by the travels of executive chef Paolo Lavezzini.

Joining Sandri behind the bar on March 16 will be two internationally recognized bartenders. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Sofokli Cali of Nouvelle Vague in Tirana and Konstantinos Theodorakopoulos of The Bar in Front of the Bar in Athens will present cocktails highlighting the four partners of the event: Altamura Distilleries, Cordusio, Noam and Polot 1882.

Sofokli Cali

Founded in 2012 by Sofokli and Evis Cali, Nouvelle Vague was the first bar in the Balkans to enter The World’s 50 Best Bars ranking and reached 28th place in the 2025 list. Its strength lies in direct sourcing from producers and in an independent laboratory, elements that over the years have secured its place on the global map of cocktail culture.

For the Florentine evening, Cali will present three cocktails that reflect his style. Barbie combines Altamura Distilleries Vodka with berries, coconut oils and an aromatic exotic fruit cordial, finished with sparkling water and Prosecco. Deviated Negroni revisits the classic using an Albanian native wine made from the Kallmet grape, Opificium MLN by Polot 1882, Cordusio Aperitivo and Turkish anise brandy. Completing the selection is Opificium TeaM, built around Origin’AL Mountain Tea and Opificium LDN by Polot 1882.

Joining Nouvelle Vague on March 16 will be The Bar in Front of the Bar from Athens, a minimalist venue at Petraki 1 that began as a pop-up and now ranks 47th in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025. Carefully crafted cocktails, a zero-waste philosophy applied to daily service, formal simplicity and close attention to sustainability define the identity of this distinctive bar.

For the event at Atrium Bar, Theodorakopoulos will present three drinks that reflect the work of the Athenian bar. Karavan combines Cordusio Aperitivo and Altamura Distilleries Vodka with mastiha, fig leaf, bergamot and chamomile, finished with a touch of bubbles. C.R.E.A.M. moves in a softer direction with Altamura Distilleries Vodka, matcha, Greek herbs and white chocolate. Rashomon Effect completes the selection with Opificium LDN by Polot 1882, cucumber, shiso, mint and green apple sorbet.

Measures as a Choice

The evening will also unveil the new issue of Coqtail – for fine drinkers, which explores some of the central themes of contemporary mixology. At its core is the concept of Measures, understood as a technical unit, a management discipline and a human parameter that every bar defines through its own choices.

Among those choices is gathering on March 16 at Atrium Bar in Florence for an invitation-only event: bartenders behind the counter preparing excellent drinks, and guests in the room sharing the evening together.
